The Eagle Has Landed. Er...Hatched

Morning everyone! Well, after a very stressful time yesterday when Ma Eagle seemed to step on and crack the egg open before the chick was quite ready, the little one appears to be doing well. Its sibling has not yet hatched, but hopefully we'll have another addition to the nest shortly. Click HERE to go to the live camera. Come over and say hello to our new fuzzy gray bobblehead! He's sooooo cute...

How cool! Nature is amazing.

Isn't it? Since the eagles are on my dad's property, he got to name them. And since he's a helicopter pilot, he named them using the aviation phonetic alphabet. Last year's twins were Alpha and Bravo, so this year's are Charlie and Delta. (Booooooring!)

That's so cute. Your dad's a helicopter pilot? Why am I not surprised?

You know, my dad only got his license last year, but he's upgrading to a larger aircraft now so he's retraining. I'm thinking of taking the ground shcool portion at least once my kids are in school full time. It's a big time committment, though.
