Every time I see this cover I melt a little inside. :)
I loved the book. You're such a talented writer and I admire your body of work very much.
It's in that spirit that I have a wee complaint about the cover. I just think it's odd that the cover image for this particular book, about an American imbedded with the enemy for years, would portray him with so much ink. It doesn't make sense. It's incongruous with the idea of a Westerner passing for a radical Muslim, at least to me.
Also, I think you should compare your cover image with that of 'Deadly Pursuit' by Misty Evans. It surprised me that the photograph was used in the same manner for two different romantic suspense novels. Plus you can't see your name, and believe me, someone who writes such terrific stuff should have her name in huge, clearly visible text on the cover. :-)
lambchop, yeah, the tats don't go with Wade's undercover job. The artist had to use stock photo, and this was the way the model came. I loved the look of him and the pose, so that's why I chose this one.
Glad you enjoyed the book!
