What am I working on now? Well, I've finished the first story in my new Crimson Point Series, set in a fictional town on the rugged Oregon Coast. Right now Fractured Honor is set to release in late September, and I'm halfway through book two at the moment. I'm planning four books in total for the series, and all the heroes are either former military or current law enforcement. I'm even including a Scottish Royal Marine Commando in the series, because the Scottish accent is the sexiest. And yes, he will wear a kilt at some point :). 


After that, I can't decide whether I want to FINALLY finish the Empowered Series that so many of you have asked me about (book one was Darkest Caress, my one and only paranormal romance), or perhaps staring a brand new series about PJs. Because you know how much I love those guys. Let me know what you think!

On a bittersweet note, I recently wrapped up the final book of the HRT Series. Blackwell's story, Reclaimed, is with one of my editors right now and I'm planning to release it in late June or so. I think it's one of the best books I've ever written, a real roller coaster of emotions combined with taut, edge-of-your-seat action. I hope you guys will love it as much as I do.

I'll admit, I have mixed feelings about ending this series. I'll be sad to say goodbye to this cast of characters I've become so deeply attached to, but I'll be sure to bring them into play in future books, with some kind of crossover in my future series. 

At the moment I'm working on the first of what will either be a series of three or four novellas (ha, IF I can manage to actually write a novella), each featuring a sibling from the Colebrook family. You'll meet Brody Colebrook, the HRT sniper team leader, in Reclaimed. From there I plan to start a new series, using the final Colebrook Series book as a springboard. 

Oh, and if you're an audiobook fan, you'll be pleased to know that Audible is going to produce the first six books of he HRT Series. Look for Marked, Targeted, Hunted, Disavowed, Avenged and Exposed to release in audio format in the next 6-9 months or so.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy Georgia and Bautista's story!

I'm so excited to announce the release of book #8 in my Hostage Rescue Team Series. I've been looking forward to writing more of Bauer and Zoe's story and had initially planned for Wanted to be a novella, but I got carried away and it wound up being a short novel instead. I couldn't help myself, I just love these two! The entire HRT cast will make appearances in this one, with a few surprises along the way.

Hostage Rescue Team #7: Seized Out Now!

Dear reader,

Holy moly, it's December already! And I have so much to tell you.

Our house is in full Christmas mode, all the trees and decorations up. It's my favorite time of year and our house is so cozy all done up for the holidays. I've been dragging the weasels out to various craft classes to get them in the holiday mood, so Big Weasel and I did a painting class on the weekend. He was less than thrilled with his finished product, but I think it looks fabulous. (He said, "Of course you think that, you're my mom!". haha)



In writing news, I'm so excited to be bringing you Vance and Carmella's story! I wanted to write something different for this one, so this past August, DH and I went on an Alaskan cruise for a research trip. No one on board suspected that I was secretly planning to use the tranquil setting for the mayhem I'd planned forSeized.

She’s strictly off limits.

Carmela Cruz has wanted the same man for over a year, and now that he’s finally free, he’s fair game. But just when it seems like everything is about to click into place for them, he puts on the brakes. For her, the decision is simple. Another special announcement is that the fabulous Pamela Clare, whose work I have long admired and fan-crushed over, sent me an e-mail about a month ago asking if she could include my HRT guys in her final installment of the I-Team series.

At first I was like, O_O "Is this a trick question?". But when I realized she was serious, I responded with an enthusiastic "YES!!!". 

So, you'll see all the HRT guys featured in Dead By Midnight. And let me tell you, this is NOT your usual Christmas story. It's actually the tautest, most nail-biting book I've read this year. If your'e a fan of the I-Team books, you're going to lose your mind over this one. And if you haven't read the series yet, what are you waiting for? Pamela's books are amazing, my favorites of which are Unlawful Contact (I love Marc!!!), Soul Deep (features middle-aged main characters), and this one.

I've just completed the draft of the next HRT story, Wanted, a long novella that will focus on Zoe and Bauer and include a bombshell announcement or two. I'm hoping for a late January or early February release.

Last month I also had the honour of meeting a former PJ! He has family here in the Vancouver area and contacted me asking if I'd sign a book for him. We met up for dinner and he was highly entertaining, and so interesting to talk with. He even brought me a Pararescue flash (goes on the maroon berets) and a little folded flag that was carried during a HALO jump in Iraq. I have him signed copies of Deadly Descent and Lethal Pursuit. Totally fair trade! haha

He opened the door wide a few moments later and stepped aside for her to enter. “All clear.”

She passed by him and into the room, her entire body buzzing with awareness as he shut the door behind her. The room was standard, with two queen-size beds and a small bathroom. She barely noticed any of it, too caught up with having over six feet and two-hundred-plus pounds of the sexiest man on earth standing just feet away from her. The skin along her spine buzzed with an almost electric charge, her entire body aching for his touch.

But then doubt suddenly overtook her. Compared to him she was ridiculously inexperienced at this. And she could just imagine how good he’d be in bed. While she was fairly certain he wouldn’t turn her down if she threw herself at him now, she didn’t want to seem pathetic and desperate, either. It was hard not to think about all the other women who called him.

Now or never, Taya. This could be your only shot with him.

She took a deep, bracing breath, and started to turn around. Before she could, two strong hands curled over the muscles at the top of her shoulders and squeezed. Taken by surprise, she smiled and let out a little groan of pleasure as her eyes slid closed. “Oh my God, that’s exactly the spot.”

His deep chuckle ruffled the hair at her nape as his hands kneaded her stiff muscles with firm, toe-curling pressure. “It’s cuz I’ve got magic hands.”

Oh, she had no doubt of that. Just the thought of them stroking over her naked body made her wet.

She turned to look up at him and the expression on his face stole the breath from her lungs. Hungry. Focused. Watching her closely.

Waiting. A hungry panther ready to spring.

Desire shot through her, her pulse thudding in her ears. When he reached up to pull the ball cap off her head and ran his hands through her hair, she couldn’t stop the moan that spilled from her throat.

Those gorgeous, skilled hands that were equally capable of taking a life and saving one tightened in the strands, his gaze locked with hers. A heartbeat later his mouth crashed down on hers.

She’d been waiting for it, even expecting it on some level, but the heated urgency of the kiss took her off guard.

Taya gasped and grabbed hold of his broad shoulders, her fingers sinking into the hard muscle there. That coiled strength beneath her palms had carried her when she’d been too weak to go on, was protecting her even now. The sense of security combined with the feel of his mouth moving over hers, setting her blood on fire.

She pressed against the full length of him, hungry for the feel of that strength wrapped around her. He made a low sound in his throat and drove his tongue into her mouth, sending a velvet shock to the center of her abdomen and between her thighs. Her nipples were hard, achy points against the lace of her bra as they met the hard wall of his chest.

Whew! Man, I loved writing about these two together.

In other fun news, both Rekindled (Alex and Grace's story, Titanium Security #5) and Hunted (HRT #3, Bauer--gah, Bauer!--and Zoe) have both finaled in the 2015 Aspen Gold contest. I'm especially tickled about Alex and Grace, since there aren't nearly enough romances out there featuring main characters their age. Love it!

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't sent out a giant thank you to all of you who purchased the Heroes In Uniform box set. We hit the USA Today bestseller list because of you guys!

Right now I'm hard at work on the next HRT book, Cruz's story. So far he's surprising me with how he's handling his attraction to the heroine. He's uh, not shy about taking matters into his own hands when necessary ;). After that I'll write Vance's story and finally Blackwell's, but I have one or two other surprise projects I'll be working on in the coming months as well that I'm pretty excited about.
